How I handle your information

The short version: this site collects as little as possible. No account, no mailing list, no tracking — the only personal information I receive is what you put in an enquiry email, used only to reply and discuss the project you asked about.

Who I am

I'm Mehtab Hassan, a freelance full-stack developer. NXTSDEV is this portfolio's name — it's me personally, not a company or agency, and I'm the only person who reads enquiries.

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to ask about your own information, email me at mehtab@nxtsdev.eu.org.

What the contact form asks for — and why

The contact form exists so a potential client can describe a project and I can reply with a useful estimate. Everything it asks for serves that reply — nothing is collected for advertising or profiling:

  • Your name — so I know who I'm talking to and can address my reply to you.
  • Your email address — so I can actually reply. Without it, an enquiry can't go anywhere.
  • The service you're interested in — so I prepare the right questions and the right kind of estimate.
  • A budget range — so the proposal I send is realistic for what you plan to spend, instead of a guess in the dark.
  • Your project message — the description of what you want built, fixed or promoted, which is what the estimate is based on.

How the form actually works

There is no form backend. When you press “Send inquiry”, the site opens your own email app with the details you typed already filled in, addressed to mehtab@nxtsdev.eu.org. You review it and send it yourself, from your own account — like clicking any other email link.

So the website itself never receives, stores or databases anything you type. If you close your mail app without sending, nothing has been transmitted. The form's progress bar and character count are calculated in your browser only.

What happens to enquiry emails

Enquiry emails land in my mailbox, and that's where they stay. I keep them as long as I need to handle your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project. Once an enquiry is clearly closed, there's no reason to hold onto it.

I don't sell enquiry details, pass them to third parties for marketing, or add anyone to a mailing list. If a project genuinely needs a third party (a hosting provider you choose, say), I'd discuss it with you first.

What this site does not do

  • No analytics or tracking — the site runs no Google Analytics or similar service, and doesn't track you across pages or sites.
  • No cookies — the site sets no cookies, and stores nothing in your browser's local storage.
  • No advertising trackers or social media pixels of any kind.
  • No accounts, logins or newsletters to hand data to.

Hosting and technical logs

Like almost every website, this one is served by a hosting provider (Vercel or GitHub Pages). Loading a page sends it standard technical data — your IP address, browser string and time — kept in server logs to deliver and secure the site, under the provider's own privacy policy. I don't use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

Links to other websites

This site links to GitHub, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and clients' own websites. Once you follow a link you've left this site, and that site's privacy policy applies — I don't control how those services handle your information.

Your rights over your information

Your enquiry emails are yours. Email mehtab@nxtsdev.eu.org any time to have them deleted or corrected, or to ask what you've sent me — and I will action it. No reason needed, no form to fill in.

Changes to this policy

If how this site works changes — a real form backend or analytics, say — I'll update this page first and date the change. The version here is always the current one.

Questions about this policy or your information? Email mehtab@nxtsdev.eu.org.

Something to build, design — or get in front of people?

A website, an app, a redesign — or promoting one that already exists. Tell me about it: I reply within 24 hours, estimate in writing.
